Football Video Game Tournaments: A Guide to Getting Started

In partnership with Extreme Networks, the Pro Football Hall of Fame and the NFL are expanding their reach into the world of video gaming or eSports. Students across the country will participate in a national tournament for the popular EA Sports “Madden NFL 22” videogame. The head-to-head competition opens Sept. 27 and is open to high school students.

To compete in a Tournament, you must have a valid STG Football account with a Supported Platform and connect it to your Tournament Account. You must have a minimum of four team players who play in every game throughout the entire Tournament. Only the four team players who play all Tournament games will receive any rewards.

The top teams in the tournament will advance to a playoffs competition that will culminate with a live exhibition tournament hosted in February 2022 at the Pro Football Hall of Fame and featuring “Madden NFL” players, including former NFL champions and current pro bowlers. The winner of the championship showdown will earn a trip to Super Bowl LVI in Los Angeles.
